I failed the JEE Mains. Should I drop a year or not?

: If you believe in yourself, then only you can drop a year. But it’s not easy for everyone. After some times you will get depressed and mixed all the things, I have seen many of students are doing this. That’s totally wrong, you can go for local college then you can enjoy your life for the 1st year, after that from 2nd year you can take a coaching and prepare for GATE or CAT and try to crack this examination. That will more beneficial than giving one year drop for getting an IIT. I am not abusing the IITs, but if you seriously notice then you will understand how many students are getting 10lakh package. Do not listen to other people or society what they are saying, it totally upon you.
