Yes, NEET is more difficult than JEE Main, due to the limited
number of seats. The number of seats in medical institutes is less
compared to engineering colleges, so even though the difficulty level
of questions in NEET is lower than JEE Main, it is more
competitive. If you rank lower in JEE Main, you will have the option
to opt for private colleges. While most students are appearing
in NEET, focus on Govt. medical faculty. Because private medical
schools cost a fortune. In the beginning I will recommend you to
