Chemistry are correlated chapters?

What chapters in IIT JEE Chemistry are correlated?

Every chapter is correlated. Do not try to skip any chapter. To understand the advanced level problems you need to clear the basics of every chapter. To understand whole organic chemistry you need to know the basic of mechanism of organic chemistry. Study your 11th chemistry deeply to understand 12th class. If your basics are not clear you will not able to understand conceptual questions. Solve previous years question papers, you will get an idea about the question pattern. Do write test series as much as possible. It will make all complex things easier. Understanding the topics make your own note and revise frequently that will help you to memorize all the topics. If you talk with IIT JEE toppers they will tell you not only chemistry but every chapter of physics and math is correlated.

Generally, the chapters included in class 11 chemistry syllabus are-

  • S ome Basic Concepts of Chemistry
  • Structure of Atom
  • Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties
  • Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure
  • States of Matter
  • Thermodynamics
  • Equilibrium
  • Redox Reactions
  • Hydrogen
  • The s-Block Elements
  • The p-Block Elements
  • Organic Chemistry – Some Basic Principles & Techniques
  • Hydrocarbons
  • Environmental Chemistry

Among all these chapters, the organic part is interrelated. You should always start with the easy one i.e. Some basic Concepts of Chemistry. Environmental Chemistry is also an easy chapter. Thermodynamics, Chemical bonding and Molecular Structure, Structure of Atom etc are important chapters and carry more weightage.

In chemistry all the chapter are almost correlated. As the basic concepts of the chapter is in class 11 with are used in chapter of class 12.

The inorganic chemistry start from the periodicity chapter , it’s concepts are used in the block chapters.
Same with organic chemistry, general organic chemistry is the building block of organic chemistry, try to make it as strong as possible.
If it remains weak it is difficult to proceed.

In physical chapters are less correlated except some formula of mole concepts are used in electrochemistry that’s it no other physical chemistry is correlated.

The class 11 chemistry syllabus is comprised of several chapters including “Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry,” “Structure of Atom,” “Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties,” “Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure,” “States of Matter,” “Thermodynamics,” “Equilibrium,” “Redox Reactions,” “Hydrogen,” “The s-Block Elements,” “The p-Block Elements,” “Organic Chemistry – Some Basic Principles & Techniques,” “Hydrocarbons,” and “Environmental Chemistry.” It is important to start with the easier chapters, such as “Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry” and “Environmental Chemistry,” as they provide a solid foundation for the more complex topics. Additionally, the chapters within organic chemistry are interconnected and should be studied in conjunction with one another. The chapters such as “Thermodynamics,” “Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure,” and “Structure of Atom” are considered to be of high importance and carry a higher weightage. Hence, it is advisable to focus on these chapters and refresh the basic concepts regularly. These are the some important points you need to follow.
