How did you prepare for a JEE with Schooling or
non-schooling? If schooling then how did you manage your
schooling and coaching?
In Kota, All the students who have joined a full time regular
batch of coaching institutes like, Bansal, resonance, vibrant, allen or
any other. They are called flying candidates in their school. They
don’t need to attend classes, only have to appear in exams (11th final
& 12th pre board & boards) but it is almost impossible to join a
coaching alongwith school.
Suppose School time is from 8 to 2, then coaching from 3 to 9. You
will be so tired after such a hectic schedule, you won’t be able to
cope up and do required self study as a result the backlogs start
piling up and each passing day burden will increase. Nor will you be
able to manage school well nor coaching.
So two options are there:
Join a good school after 10th and local tuitions. The main drawback
in this approach is that, your chances of selection in jee will be slim
unless you are really talented as well as honest to ur studies & hv
done justice for 2 years. Most of the time, you won’t be able to crack
jee, but if you have studied well, your basics will be very good and
you can take a drop and join coaching & then can easily crack jee
provided you have studied well.
Join a flying school & full time coaching: The advantage here is that
you have to be consistent and work hard, you will get selected in jee
because of the guidance by coaching. If you can manage schooling
along with JEE preparation. It is the best choice. It provides results
in both JEE and boards. I have seen many meritorious students who
went to non-college after 10th and just lost track because
indiscipline is prevalent in co-less unless you are very, very
determined to be disciplined enough to achieve your goal.
Latter option is better, but the former is also not bad but you have to
rely a lot on self studies and build concepts yourself and have to
work really hard for JEE.
