Yes, NCERT is a very good choice to prepare the subject. It will help you because it contains all important theories as well as reactions so if you get a strong hold on the topics then it will be easier to score a good marks. Chemistry is mainly divided into three main parts : Organic, Inorganic and Physical. If you facing problems then you will thoroughly revise the NCERT carefully that helps a lot. If it is possible then talk with IIT JEE mentor and take their advice and also you can consult with IIT JEE toppers they will suggest you that which reference books are needed or which you can use. Mainly you will need to solve the previous year’s question paper that will more helpful and you will get an idea from which part the most number of questions are coming in the examination.
