Organic chemistry is the most interesting and important topic for IIT JEE. You should connect with IIT JEE mentors they can guide you properly and analyse your performance. Reading is not sufficient. You need a strategy which will work for you the best. Take help from experts and connect with IIT JEE toppers. Before any examination preparation you should aware of the whole syllabus. There is around 30 topics in JEE Main chemistry syllabus. Make a suitable timetable and follow it properly. If you are thinking to join a coaching institution then it will also help you to maintain consistency. Start with the fundamentals and clear your basics. Do not skip or neglect any chapter. Every chapter is important and correlated. Do not waste your time, start your preparation as early as possible. Understanding the fundamentals study every chapter and concepts in depth. During studying make your own notes. If you join coaching centre then follow their study materials and solve more problems. Revise your notes frequently. In this part most of the questions are asked based on mechanism, reactions, compounds and exceptions. After solving the problems never forget to analyse them.

To learn organic chemistry, one must follow a set of norms & read the theory thoroughly. The most common error students make is that they begin memorising concepts and reactions. This is not the best way to solve the question or reaction; one should focus on the reaction process and understand how it works.
