What is the best approach and mentality to learn Basic Organic Chemistry while studying for IIT JEE?

Organic chemistry is one of the most interesting topics in chemistry. You need to consult with IIT JEE mentors, they will help you properly. Without their help it will be a little difficult to prepare things for the examination. If possible you can take suggestions from JEE toppers on call it will help you a lot by that you will know which topics you need to prepare most. You can split the topics and then study as much as possible and make a time table and follow it. Here are some areas I would like to mention : Basic of organic chemistry - it is a very large chapter and it contains basic concepts and basics of organic reaction mechanism, practical organic chemistry. You need to study these topics very consciously.
Reaction part – In organic chemistry most of the questions are asked based on the reaction, this topic contains Hydrocarbons, Aromatic compounds, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, reactions of acids, Grignard Reagent, Oxidation/Reduction, etc. You need to write down the reactions , mechanisms, exceptions in a notebook that will help you a lot.
