Which Kota is best for NEET?

Just because places like Kota produce signiďŹcant amount of results doesnât mean you can ignore the staggering amount of students who actually start their JEE preparations there.
So assuming that there are no good coaching places where you live, the next question is: Is Kota the best place to start your preparation?
It used to be, not anymore!! Why not?
Letâs discuss the [Pros and Cons](https://Pros and Cons):
Letâs look at the factors in favor of Kota (Pros):
-World Class faculty. The concepts taught by them will leave you mesmerized at times.
-Amazing preparation material. There is hardly any concept which they will miss out in their materials.
-Competitiveness. Just by looking at how hard people are working will get you started. That guilty feeling will help you push harder.
You learn a lot by living alone. You will become independent and will learn to manage everything which your parents used to do till now.
-So many messes to choose from. If you donât like the food from any particular mess, then move onto the next one. If you like it, still no harm in trying the next one.
-You get to interact with so many different kinds of people. (Remember: Youâre the average of 5 people around you). So, choose your company wisely.
-DiďŹcult tests which prepare you for the worst. The question papers are usually tougher than what you will encounter in the actual exam.
-Giving a test along with thousands of students prepare you for the actual day. Till then, you will get accustomed to it.
Now, letâs get to Cons:
-A lot of distractions: Smoking, Drinking, Attractions, Cyber Cafe/Counter Strike etc.
-Pressure to perform, Pressure to study, Pressure to fulďŹll parents dreams.
-Too much competition can be demoralizing. Not doing well in initial few tests can be disheartening. (Because it takes time for people to settle in a new environment, therefore reaching your peak may take time)
-Home sickness. You will miss your parents, your friends and your comfortable life.
-Not every batch gets world class Profs. Once youâve paid your installments, lower batches may get new Profs which isnât so good. (Not sure about every institute, but it does happen in some well-known ones).
-No personal attention. People are often too scared to ask personal doubts fearing being mocked or ridiculed by others. When youâre in a class of hundred, this happens a lot.
-Also, climate can be another factor you could look at. It gets pretty cold in Kota during winters.
-Its bloody crowded, there is a very good chance you will be lost in the crowd.
-Too much material to solve. If you fall back, it gets very tough to catch up!

In the era of online coaching, I donât think kota is required any more.The question is why we go to Kota. Obviously because ofthe best faculties and best study mat erial.But Today many online coachings are there whose study materials are exactly at same level as that of Kota. Mostly faculties of Kota are now available online.
I will recommend you join online rather than offline. Also, there are pandemics so itâs quite risky for you to stay there. Online coachings are cheap that you can do your preparation at a very low cost.
As a student who studied and cracked the exam from Kota I would like to suggest a few things-
It is a very good place where you get the environment to study and the structure plan of the coachings over there makes your journey comparatively easy as you will get constant guidance by the faculties who teach you in class.
But there are some points to remember as well-
Being a very competitive place you will feel homesick, and often feel low if you are not doing good enough over there.
There are almost 100+ students in one batch so individual attention to each student is low, however you can cover up your doubts in doubt counter.
You cant afford to take a break over or you will be left behind the competition.
Thus if you can work consistently and are confident enough that you will do good, the place is a heaven for you but if you often feel homesick and are not strong enough then choose a offline coaching in your city or a city nearby.
